The Dawnay Estates consist of a group of thriving rural businesses based in some of the most beautiful countryside in Yorkshire.
The Estates are managed with a long term view which includes an acute recognition of the responsibility to maintain the environment. This responsibility goes hand in hand with a commercial and innovative approach to business. Once visited never forgotten - my family have been looking after this little corner of England for almost 350 years.
The Dawnay Estates offers an extensive variety of shooting opportunities across two Estates: driven grouse over the Danby Moors, and partridge and pheasant shooting over the Wykekam Estate. The shooting is managed in-hand and let by the day and overseen by Peter Snaith, headkeeper at Danby, and Matthew Steadman, headkeeper at Wykeham
Wykeham Lakes is situated within the Dawnay Estate on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, and eastern end of the Vale of Pickering. Wykeham Lakes is made up of four landscaped lakes, one of which is the Trout Water is stocked with Rainbow, Blue & Brown trout.
